What started as a joke by Tina Fey may quickly be turning into a real-life celeb feud. During Sunday’s Golden Globes, Fey made a joke that Taylor Swift should stay away from Michael J. Fox’s 23-year-old son. “You know what, Taylor Swift? You stay away from Michael J Fox’s son."
“Amy Poehler joked that maybe Swift should 'go for it,' and Fey replied, 'No, she needs some me time to learn about herself,'" according to the Huffington Post.
But it looks like Michael J. Fox didn’t find it funny at all. He spoke with Vulture Magazine a little later and shared his opinions on the possible future couple.
"I don’t keep up with it all. But Taylor Swift writes songs about everybody she goes out with, right?" he said. "What a way to build a career."
According to the Huffington Post, he told the magazine if his son Sam brought Swift home he probably wouldn’t even recognize her, but eventually he would know which song the singer wrote about his son.
"Yeah, exactly," he said, according to the Huffington Post. "'Sam, You Piece of S***.' Oh… that was the girl you brought home," he joked.
However, Sam Fox may be a little too old for Swift’s liking. The 22-year-old’s last two boyfriends, Conor Kennedy and One Direction’s Harry Styles, are both 18. Fox is 23.
Either way, it looks like either Kennedy and Styles have some songs coming in their direction. Soon after the split from Styles, Swift tweeted: “Back in the studio. Uh oh.” Who knows what that means for Styles, but it probably isn’t good.
It looks like daddy Fox may have a point, and it looks like he'll keep his son as far away from Taylor Swift as he can.
