This new song from a budding talent shows a lot of promise to kick-start a musical career in the pop genre.

Olly MursWho is Olly Murs?

English singer-songwriter Olly Murs was on the X Factor in 2009, and his previous single "Please Don't Let Me Go" debuted to success on the UK Singles Chart, according to Last.fm.

Now the 28-year-old has found his latest single prominence in radio play. I was driving home when I heard his track "Troublemaker",  featuring Flo Rida.

Ironically, I couldn't help but drive myself insane. Why, you ask? He has a familiarity to his voice, and I am relying on you, readers, to help me try to pinpoint who exactly he reminds you of! Make sure to scroll down and take a listen below!

Mr. Taylor Swift?

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Before you get mad at me for daring to compare him to the mega-superstar, I only mean this in regard to her latest hit, "I Knew You Were Trouble." There are similarities beyond the obvious title. Good girl meets bad boy? Now reverse it.

It's boy-band sweet-sounding, with a song meaning that you would also find in a Ne-Yo or Bruno Mars song: About that girl you probably shouldn't chase after, because no one should make you this powerless. The lyrics say it all:

"You had me hooked again from the minute you sat down
The way you bite your lip
Got my head spinnin' around
After a drink or two, I was putty in your hands
I don't know if I have the strength to stand"

As Seventeen.com accurately terms it, it's a "pop-reggae" blend, and in that aspect it certainly is refreshing enough to get you up and off your feet. It may not be the single you remember him forever for, but it's definitely a track that will get him noticed.

"I just like someone who's up for a laugh and doesn't take herself too seriously"

Olly Murs, in a quote from Seventeen.com, not only says the above, but indicates he prefers "all-around good girls."

How can you not love that? If you want to reach out to him, he's created a hashtag on Instagram so his fans can send in pictures of "troublemakers." Now whether that's you or a friend, you decide. You can end up on his fan video for this latest hit. #OllyMursTroublemaker
