Fox News host Brian Kilmeade made an awkward joke on his radio show this week, responding to a listener's flattery of his co-host. Alisyn Camerota fills in for Gretchen Carlson regularly on Fox & Friends and joins Kilmeade on his show on the Fox radio network. The issue started when a listener called in to compliment Camerota.
"Well you and all the women of Fox, I don't know who was the scout that got you guys, but they rock," the listener said, according to the Huffington Post.
"It was Brian," Camerota replied. "But thank you very much, that's very sweet."
But Kilmeade decided to take it a little further, joking with the listener that "it was actually, we go into the Victoria's Secret catalog and we said, 'Can any of these people talk?' And they all could and they all went to college."
As recently as June, Gretchen Carlson walked off the set of Fox and Friends in response to Kilmeade's comments in the same vein.
"Women are everywhere," Kilmeade said at the time, according to the Huffington Post. "We're letting them play golf and tennis now. It's out of control."
"You know what?" Carlson got out of her seat and started walking away, while responding, "You know what? You read the headlines, since men are so great. Go ahead."
"Finally!" Kilmeade replied. "Leaving an all-male crew."
"In all your glory, go for it!" Carlson said.
"Eh, she needed a shower," Kilmeade replied as Carlson walked away, said the Huffington Post.
It looks like Camerota may have been a little more prepared for what she was in for. After Kilmeade suggested that she was a Victoria's Secret model, his co-host seemed to just shake off his comments.
"You're crazy, Brian," Camerota responded and left it at that.
