Here are just some of the reasons why Hemsworth deserves the title:

VIDEO: Proof that Chris Hemsworth is God's gift to women

1. He is hilarious

Apart from being really, really, good-looking, Hemsworth is also a really funny guy and his acceptance speech during Jimmy Kimmel Live for People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive for 2014 just proved it.

Hemsworth appeared via Skype and disguised his voice electronically to answer some of the questions from the audience as it tried to determine who he was. After being correctly identified, the actor thanked his parents for "putting it all together."

He then went on to say, "Thank you very much for the trophy. I'm most excited about the alive portion of that statement. I'm flattered. Thank you, Jimmy."

"I like everything there is about being sexy, to pursing the lips the right way to squinting at the essential time. Thank you, Matt Damon, and all the other previous intelligent men. This is based on an IQ test, not just the physical appearance," he continued.

2. He has an amazing accent

3. He is a Norse god

What woman doesn't want her very own superhero? And Hemsworth's role as Marvel's Thor, the hammer-wielding god associated with thunder, lightning and strength, is definitely a favorite with the ladies.

4. He's all about his family

There are few things sexier than a man who truly cares about his kids and is willing to put his family first. Hemsworth is a doting dad to his kids. According to his wife, Elsa Pataky, the first time he heard his little daughter India Rose say, "Papa," he was close to tears. Awww!

"He was almost crying. He was [screaming for joy]," Pataky previously told People magazine.

5. And he's the perfect husband

Hemsworth and his wife seem like one of the happiest couples we have seen in a long time. Pictures of the Rush actor are always emerging, which show him showering her with affection and giving her cuddles, no matter where they are. It's really cute to see how loving this gentle giant is!

6. He has a pure heart

According to Marie Claire magazine, when Hemsworth was at The Avengers premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival back in 2012, he decided to take some time to pay his respects (and pose for photos) to the heroes of New York, the American servicemen and women.

7. He's handy with a hammer

Did we already mention the fact that Hemsworth is a Norse god? Well, then you'll know he's also particularly handy with a hammer, and we're pretty sure he could fix things around the house. Or maybe not, but then at least he has those super large muscles to carry the groceries!

Hemsworth joins a long list of gorgeous stars who were once named People's Sexiest Man Alive, including Brad Pitt, Channing Tatum, George Clooney, Johnny Depp, Adam Levine and Ben Affleck.

Charles Manson's getting hitched, but it won't be a fairy-tale affair

6 Things to know about Charles Manson's young fiancée

As previously reported, the convicted mass murder is all set to marry 26-year-old Afton Elaine Burton next month, who now goes by the name of Star, a moniker that was given to her by her future husband.

So, if you were wondering what a convicted murder's wedding would look like, we have all the details for you. According to TMZ, Manson will be able to kiss his bride after they say their "I do's," but they will never be able to consummate their marriage or even get past second base for that matter (Manson will not get conjugal visits).

Charles Manson's album financed by online users like you

Officials from the California Department of Corrections told the gossip site that the prison wedding will take place next month at the Corcoran State Prison, and although there will be no time limit on the first kiss, prison officials will cut it before it becomes too raunchy.

Will Manson be restrained during the ceremony? Apparently not, and he will be able to hold his blushing bride's hand during their big day. But according to TMZ, there will be no wedding tux involved (he'll get hitched in his inmate uniform), and the catering options are very, very limited.

The meal will apparently be catered by vending machines, according to TMZ, and the couple are allowed to invite up to 10 guests who are not inmates, but one of those guests will not be the bride's mother!

Jason Ritter on channeling Charles Manson: "It's kind of intoxicating"

According to the New York Post, Manson's fiancée's mother, Melissa Burton, told them she will not be attending.

"It's not that kind of a wedding... She knows how we feel about it. If I could choose a life for my daughter, I'd choose a normal one," she told the publication.

7 Moments in The Hunger Games that mirror real life

Hungry children aren't fiction

District 12 is one of Panem's poorest, but it's not the only district where children go hungry. Katniss and Peeta, as the movie's protagonists, are very sensitive to the imbalances they witness while on their Victory Tour, whereas citizens in the Capitol seem oblivious to the fact that people are starving and suffering in other districts.

Sound familiar?

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

The sad truth is an unbearable number of children are starving all over the world, and a considerable number of disadvantaged children are right here in the United States. According to a report by the National Center on Family Homelessness, nearly 2.5 million American children were homeless at some point in 2013. That's one in 30 children!

A planet in jeopardy

It may not get a lot of focus in the movie, but in the book, the Games come about as the result of warring that happened after a loss of natural resources due to global warming. In Book 1, when Katniss narrates the reaping, she tells us that the mayor of District 12:

"...tells the history of Panem, the country that rose up out of the ashes of a place that was once called North America. He lists the disasters, the droughts, the storms, the fires, the encroaching seas that swallowed up so much of the land, the brutal war for what little sustenance remained. The result was Panem, a shining Capitol ringed by thirteen districts, which brought peace and prosperity to its citizens."

While we're not seeing mass food shortages in the States yet, we are seeing higher prices for certain items at the grocery store, and we could see some of our favorite items disappearing from our grocery shelves completely. For instance, drought-stricken California grows 95 percent of America's avocados, but some farmers are letting their farms go dry due to exorbitant water prices. The Golden State is also seeing lower numbers of salmon because of the drought.

Don't care about salmon or avocados? What about chocolate? Yep, chocolate is on the endangered list, too.

Coal mines are really, really dangerous

Katniss' district is responsible for all of the coal mining in Panem. The workers toil in underequipped mine shafts that occasionally blow up, trapping and even sometimes killing everyone inside. But that couldn't happen in the States, right?

Wrong.

The Hunger Games District Heroes Collection

NPR just ran an in-depth news report on the insane lack of regulations on coal mines in the States. Turns out, a total of 2,700 mining company owners have failed to pay nearly $70 million in delinquent penalties over the past 20 years.

These mining companies get fined for safety violations, but there aren't enforcements in place to make them actually pay the fines, much less fix the violations. So the millionaires and billionaires operating the mines can continue to reap profits off the backs of their underpaid employees. And we mean literal backs — one of the miners NPR interviewed spent two hours pinned under a slab of rock, hitting the panic button on his radio between blackouts, before someone finally came to rescue him.

Bread and circuses are Hollywood's bread and butter

Jennifer Lawrence at The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - part 1 premier

Am I the only one who thinks the The Hunger Games' rabid press tours look a little too much like the rabid press tours that are roundly criticized in the movie? The entire franchise centers around Panem's obsession with riches, fame and artifice, the whole doing it's best to point out just how frivolous and destructive such grotesque displays of grandiosity are, and yet The Hunger Games is still a movie. It still needs to be promoted, to be premiered, to sell tickets! Which puts it the film in the super awkward position of needing to engage in its own promotional frenzy, contradicting the very themes the movies are built on.

Jennifer Lawrence is like Jesus Christ, according to one of her costars

Some of the headlines we can't wait to click on out here in the real world could be pulled directly from the Capitol's news. Can't you hear Caesar Flickerman inviting you to check out Jennifer Lawrence's new dress or learn Elizabeth Banks' makeup tricks? That's because Hollywood is a circus... and, just like the Capitol circus in the film, Hollywood distracts us from the fact that:

The rich keep getting richer

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

NPR recently reported that, according to a new study published by Oxfam, just 1 percent of the world's population controls nearly half of the planet's wealth.

And if that statistic doesn't make you want to punch a banker, these stats will:

  • The world's 85 richest people own as much as the poorest 50 percent of humanity.
  • In the U.S., where the gap between rich and poor has grown at a faster rate than any other developed country, the top 1 percent captured 95 percent of post-recession growth (since 2009), while 90 percent of Americans became poorer.

So, although we may not see wealthy Americans wearing white pancake makeup with hand-cut paper butterfly eyelashes on their lids walking around in head-to-toe purple roses and professionally coiffed blue wigs, we're not really that far off.

Oh, wait...

OK, so other than the occasional celebrity rock star, we don't see a lot of our one-percenters brandishing their wealth by wearing The Hunger Games fashion. We just see them buying million-dollar mansions, private jets and wearing watches that cost more than most people's homes.

At least they aren't rounding up our children and making them kill one another for entertainment... yet.

The The Hunger Games are the ultimate reality TV experience, and you know there are scary people out here in the real world who kind of wish the film's murder games were real. We don't want to know those people.

But we can't ignore the fact that a great many of us find a lot of pleasure in reality TV. From The Real Housewives series to Duck Dynasty and everything in between, audiences never seem to get tired of watching "real" people on their TVs. And for the most part, reality TV can be chalked up as harmless fun or a guilty pleasure. But as recent news about Here Comes Honey Boo Boo demonstrates, our "harmless" entertainment can come at a big cost when it involves children.

Life imitating art: Thai protesters arrested for using The Hunger Games salute

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

When Suzanne Collins invented the film's by-now-distinctive three-finger salute as a sign of admiration from District 12 citizens, I bet she had no idea it would one day become a cause for arrest in Thailand. But that is exactly what happened earlier this year when Thai protesters began using the symbolic gesture as a sign of protest.

Hunger Games Salute in Thailand

Hunger Games Salute in Thailand

Obviously, the film's themes of class oppression and totalitarian rule struck a nerve with the people of Thailand. As Brad Adams, director of Human Rights Watch's Asia division, told Time, the The Hunger Games salute is "a symbolic act of peaceful defiance."

And yet, most fans here in America seem to skim over the film's message, seeing the movie's extravagant sets, costumes and fight sequences as pure entertainment instead... panem et circenses, indeed.

Sharon Stone must pay 232K to man who was injured on her property

According to Radar Online, the actress' beloved nephew, Colin Stone, has died from a suspected heroin overdose.

It is a truly heartbreaking story, and the publication reports that Colin, who is the son of Stone's brother Michael Stone, was found dead in his apartment in Hollywood, California, on Nov. 10. The website also said that according to Ed Winter of the Los Angeles County Coroner's office, he was found "during a welfare check by his apartment manager."

"His death was recorded as a possible overdose, pending toxicology reports," Winter added.

Sharon Stone denies Antonio Banderas affair rumors

According to Radar Online, a source revealed to them that Stone got the devastating news when she was filming Life on the Line with John Travolta — an action-drama film due for release in 2015.

The source reportedly also told the site that Colin's father, Michael, had a history with drugs, but he got on the straight and narrow, thanks to the help of his sister, and after he served two years in jail for "possession of a kilo of cocaine."

"Years ago, she helped Colin's dad — her brother, Michael — get his life back on track after serving time for selling [drugs]," the source told Radar Online, adding, "Michael was able to escape a life of drugs. Unfortunately, his son was not so lucky."

There's no love lost between Camille Grammer and her ex-husband (VIDEO)

The former The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star made an appearance on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday, and when speaking about her ex, she did not hold back.

6 Times the reality curse has destroyed a Real Housewives marriage

"I'm going to be honest, total dick," Camille said of the Boss actor. "He's an ass. I can say it."

It's no secret these two went through a very bitter divorce, which all played out during Season 1 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2010, and there's clearly still some unresolved anger here.

And Camille did not stop there. She went on to tell the show's host that the Frasier star needs to learn some parenting skills.

Kelsey Grammer ignores kids while Camille recovers from cancer

"He has to learn to love his kids more than he hates me. That's the bottom line," she added. Yikes!

So, how about being on the RHWOBH, does she regret the time she spent on the reality TV show?

"I loved meeting the girls and having the experience," Camille confessed. "Looking back, it was really hard the first season because Kyle [Richards] and I were fighting, and I said some things, especially about [Kyle's husband] Mauricio… he's a very successful real estate agent now, and I said something about that the first season, and I'm eating my hat. He's a great guy, really successful, and I really care for Kyle, and I love the whole family."

Bitter Camille Grammer repossesses bed from under Kelsey

She also believes the show was her husband's "parting gift" to her. Could it have been?

Here's that Benedict Cumberbatch vibrator you never asked for

$

Ever look at Benedict Cumberbatch's devastating face and piercing eyes and think, "Golly, I sure wish I had a Cumberbatch-shaped vibrator to get down with?"

No?

Is Benedict Cumberbatch Doctor Strange? The CumberCollective sure hopes so

Well, someone did, because that weird-looking bust up there is a Sherlock-shaped vibrator, and it is taking basically all of my strength to not make hilarious Cumberbatch jokes, like that one right there. Can you blame me? Take a look at the video, wherein a blue blob that vaguely resembles the actor's head buzzes and rotates just long enough to be uncomfortable.

Benedict Cumberbatch vibrator

Benedict Cumberbatch vibrator

It's the brainchild of a Zander Whitehurst, who's behind a product called B3DHEAD, which will allow you to have your own custom vibrator made from any picture you choose. The concept behind the product is to keep partners in long-distance relationships — ahem — in touch:

"B3D HEAD is the first 3D printed personalised (sic) vibrator. Our concept of personal pleasure toys stems from long-distance relationships. Even if you are continents apart, you can now give head to your loved one, with your own head."

Maybe it's just me, but this is basically the opposite of sexy, as far as I'm concerned. It's one thing to have your partner's equipment duplicated, if that's your thing, but a teeny-tiny replica of their head? It also doesn't look particularly comfortable or conducive to pleasure, but hey, to each their own.

An approved list of things that can go in the vagina

I wonder what it must feel like, as a celebrity, to know that someone, somewhere, is replicating your face into a little shrunken head vibrator to get off to. I would imagine that it would fall somewhere on the spectrum of "vaguely flattering" to "horrifyingly creepy."

sherlock benedict cumberbatch disgusted gifPhoto credit: Giphy.com

The whole thing opens up a slew of unanswered questions. Questions like: Does Cumberbatch get residuals from the company if his face is in high demand for solo fun time? And, what happens if someone finds your Khan-shaped sex toy? Do you try to explain yourself or just play it off like it's a figurine? Finally, who can I talk to about getting this shaped like Steve Buscemi and sending it to someone I hate?

Barbara Walters reveals her vibrator's name

If you happen to want a battery-operated celebrity boyfriend, or a vibrator shaped like anyone you love, all you have to do is send the company a few pictures or somehow convince your loved one to use the company's slightly sinister sounding "crisp head scanner" and bam, they'll send you a 2-inch (!) by 1-inch (!!) vibrating replica of your model.

Whitehurst hopes to have the products launched by Valentine's Day of next year, so it's time to start thinking about whose tiny face you'd like to masturbate with. Or to. Or both, I guess.

As a child, Ruffin and his brother started off singing gospel with the group, the Dixie Nightingales, before they moved north to Detroit in 1960 and discovered Motown.

Ruffin was drafted in to the army as part of national service. When he left the army in 1964, he returned to Motown and was offered the chance to join the Temptations and replace Elbridge Bryant. 3 Life lessons learned from Diem and CT's romance

5. His biggest success was in the U.K.

Despite the fact that Ruffin was an American, his greatest success came from the U.K. According to the Mirror, he was once voted the world's top singer in a British poll and, in 1970, "Farewell Is a Lonely Sound," "I'll Say Forever My Love" and "It's Wonderful (To Be Loved By You)" each made the top 10.

6. He had a love affair with the U.K., too

Christina Applegate's battle with cancer: 7 Things you probably forgot

Brown, who died last week after bravely battling three rounds of cancer, was loved by many and it didn't take long for her friends to start sharing their moving words about her life and the way it affected them. There was no response from her long-time on-again, off-again love, CT Tamburello, until today.

Tamburello posted a picture of Brown, whose real first name was Danielle, on her prayer card, a rosary and a ring on Instagram. "You have always been my angel," he wrote in the caption. "And now you have your wings. We've been thru so much over the years. Thru the the ups and downs we somehow managed to keep our promise. We never gave up on each other. Our plan to be together forever hasn't changed... it's just gonna take a little longer now. And I'm gonna hold on to this ring for you till we are together again. So don't worry mama, I'm not afraid. I know you will always be with me to give me your strength. You are The Love of My Life. My reason to be a better man. I Love You Always and Forever."

Jason Isbell just outed The Voice for making a huge mistake

$

Well, not when you're critically acclaimed and award-winning singer-songwriter, Jason Isbell.

20 Gratuitous GIFs of Adam Levine lookin' so damn hot

So, you can only imagine his surprise when he received an e-mail from an NBC talent producer, encouraging him to audition for the reality singing competition.

"I came across Jason Isbell online and was hoping to chat with him about auditioning for us [The Voice] if it's something that interests him?" the e-mail from the unnamed producer read.

Not only was Jason Isbell awarded the title of the American Music Association's Artist of the Year, he's played over 120 shows this year and has a solo album that was in the Top 40 during its first week of release, according to Rolling Stone.

Here's your chance to try out for The Voice… boot camp style

Isbell's response? To tweet out a snapshot of the e-mail to his more than 70,000 followers on Twitter with a nice message saying, "My audition on The Voice will be a solo vocal and French horn rendition of 'Oh Comely' by Neutral Milk Hotel. I will wear a #bikini."

OK, OK, so we would pay good money to see Isbell play at a normal concert, but we would pay extra to see this performance. The Voice should seriously consider the offer. Maybe they can make it up to the singer by offering him a slot as the celebrity guest during one of their shows on the upcoming season?

The Voice: T-Swift's 7 pieces of advice we can totally use IRL

Sure, he's not the biggest "name" talent in the music industry, but you'd think The Voice would be doing a little more research into potential contestants aside from simply scanning YouTube. If they had taken the time to google his name, they would have realized who he was.

Mistakes happen. But this is one we can definitely laugh about. Isbell seems to be taking it all in good humor, too. Although, we really hope he's serious about that bikini performance. We can dig it.

Dave Chappelle's jokes about race, sex and Olivia Pope cross the line

Dream Team: A Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock comedy tour?

The guy ghosted Hollywood right when it seemed he was at the peak of his comedic success with his sketch series, Chappelle's Show, but has been steadily inching his way back into the business for several years now.

While we are all about a good comeback story, from the sounds of Chappelle's recently outlined plot to get him to return to the top, it doesn't sound like he's taking the Britney Spears route back to good graces.

Dave Chappelle and Flight of the Conchords to tour together

Chappelle gave a laundry list of shows that he would like to be on to spur his career revival and he has some very specific story lines for the characters he would like to play. "I'd be a zombie in The Walking Dead, a corpse in CSI," he said in a recent interview with GQ magazine. "I'd be the first black guy to f*** Olivia Pope on Scandal."

While we don't doubt that Chappelle has the chops to play all of the parts he named, we can't help but wince at the Olivia Pope joke. Did he really have to go there and did it get any laughs? Not to mention the fact that the role of the "first black guy to f*** Olivia Pope on Scandal" was already booked and played by Norm Lewis in Season 2. Hopefully, Chappelle does more homework before going out on auditions.

In addition to the sexist and racist undertones in his comeback scheme, it also turns out that Donald Sterling has an unlikely supporter in Chappelle. "Ultimately, I don't think he should have lost his team," Chappelle said. "I don't like the idea that someone can record a secret conversation and that person could lose their assets from that, even though I think what he said was awful. When you think about the intimacy of the situation, like, can a man just chill with his mistress in peace?" OK, the mistress comment is a little funny.

We also know that Chappelle is all about satire and sarcasm, so it's always just a little bit hard to tell when he's being serious or if he's deliberately being outlandish. He is a comedian at the end of the day.

As questionable as his jokes may be, we do appreciate one thing about Chappelle: He's got a work ethic and is willing to work his way back to where he was. "I want to do this thing where I guest star on as many television shows as I possibly can," he told GQ. "I love television. The fact that television ultimately made me famous was very gratifying for me."

13 World Cup nip-slips: Players free the nipples

Freeing the female nipple is shaping up to be this generation's version of burning bras.

"Free the Nipple" has been a movement on the internet for almost a year, thanks to Miley Cyrus, who posted a picture of her own breasts and tagged it with #freethenipples. Now, it's blossomed in to a full-fledged movie.

The film is directed by Lina Esco and was conceived while Esco was working with Cyrus on 2012's LOL, according to Entertainment Weekly. It's set to release next month, with the goal of ripping a hole through unequal nudity censorship laws. The trailer was released this week and we have to say: The flick looks pretty awesome.

"Why is my nipple more obscene than a murder?" the main character asks in the trailer (which you can watch here). It's an excellent question and other high-profile people have been exploring, as of late, why it's OK for men to go topless when women can't. Chelsea Handler waged a war on Instagram this month for its uneven censorship rules pertaining to male/female nudity and posted a photo on Nov. 6 using #freethenipple on Twitter.

According to Free the Nipple's official website, the movie is inspired by true events involving two young women living in New York City, who build an army and take to the streets to protest inequality in the hope of changing archaic laws. "The film explains the contradictions in our media-dominated society, where acts of violence and killing are glorified, while images of a woman's body are censored by the FCC and the MPAA," the site reads. "What is more obscene: Violence or a Nipple?"

The trailer itself is full of caped women, taking back the streets and empowering themselves. But, it doesn't look like it's all girl power and victories, either. We can't wait to catch the movie and see how these women sought to change the world.

U2 and 3 other Jimmy Fallon impressions better than the original (VIDEO)

The U2 front man broke his arm in six places and fractured his eye socket, hand and shoulder blade, the BBC reports. He's already undergone two surgeries at New York's Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and he still faces a long recovery.

According to the BBC, Bono needed a five-hour surgery on Sunday to repair his arm with three metal plates and 18 screws. The following day, he reportedly had surgery on his left hand.

Bono's orthopedic trauma surgeon, Dr. Dean Lorich, said a full recovery is expected, but only after extensive physical therapy. Nobody has said anything yet about how long that recovery might take, but based on the level of the injuries reported, it's probably safe to bet it will be a while before Bono is back on stage.

Band Aid 30: One Direction, 27 other artists sing to stop Ebola (VIDEO)

We already knew that Bono was injured after his band announced they would have to postpone their Tonight Show residency because Bono had "injured his arm in a cycling spill."

But calling it a cycling spill made it sound like it wasn't such a big deal. We were surprised to learn the extent of the rocker and humanitarian's injuries.

In a statement, the hospital said Bono had been involved in "a high-energy bicycle accident when he attempted to avoid another rider," so we hope the other rider is OK.

As for the weeklong Tonight Show residency that was supposed to happen this week, Bono's bandmates say it will still happen, but they don't know when.

"We're sure he'll make a full recovery soon, so we'll be back!" Bono's bandmates, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen, Jr., said in a statement.

Zayn Malik and 14 other celebs' shockingly insightful quotes

Matt Lauer started a commotion among 1D fans after starting some rumors during the band's Today show appearance, asking, "Is it something more serious than a minor illness? There have been rumors of substance abuse. What's going on?"

But Malik showed back up for One Direction's appearance in Orlando on Tuesday night, Nov. 18 and Liam Payne explained that he had a "tummy bug." But Louis Tomlinson was apparently a little less discreet and explained the real reason (or, at least, the more TMI reason) Malik missed the big gig.

"He's got a poo problem," Tomlinson told E! News. "And that's the truth and he's really not gonna like me saying that.

"Obviously, this is the biggest day of our year for our album, we've worked so hard on it,” Tomlinson continued. “He'll make a speedy recovery, I'm sure."

Luckily, Tomlinson did not elaborate on exactly what he meant by the poo comment (thank goodness), but Malik appears to be back to his normal self, joining the group for their U.S. tour. But before the tour, the group talked about their recent royal engagement — when they met with Prince William and Kate Middleton.

"That was so amazing doing the Royal Variety in the U.K. the other day and then obviously we got to do the Band Aid thing this week, which is for a great cause, with Bono," Payne told the Today show hosts. "It was so, so good. So good. And we can't believe we get to be around such music legends."

Are One Direction fans right about Zayn Malik's substance abuse?

He added, "I got sweaty palms and, obviously, you have to do all the handshaking so I was, like, trying not to get sweaty."

One Direction's worldwide tour kicks off in February in Australia.

Michael Phelps' girlfriend revealed a very personal secret — publicly

Olympic icon Michael Phelps charged with DUI

Chandler posted on her Facebook page that she was born intersex, meaning she had some male and some female reproductive organs, and that her given name at birth was David Roy Fitch. And it sounds like she didn't reveal the secret to Phelps before she made the public announcement.

"I was born intersex and named David Roy Fitch at birth," her post reads. "By the time I could walk and talk I made it clear I was a girl and dressed as one. In my early teens I was medically diagnosed and went on testosterone blockers, at 15 estrogen enhancers. My birth certificate was modified along with my name while I was a teenager, prior to any corrective surgery."

She explains in the post that she was bullied into the public announcement by the media threatening to expose the secret before she could. She also says she's worried that it will have a negative impact on her relationship with Phelps, who is in the middle of his six-month rehab stint.

Michael Phelps dipping his toes back into Olympic waters

"I am telling my story to take the power away from the media and tabloids that want to hurt Michael and I," she writes. "I will probably lose him, which hurts like hell."

According to the Daily Mail, Chandler claims she met Phelps on the hookup app, Tinder. In an interview with the National Enquirer, she detailed their first date, including some really intimate moments she says happened during the football game they attended together.

"One thing led to the next, and we made love during halftime," she told the tabloid. "Later, we had sex again. The intimacy with him was amazing! It was the first time in my life that someone has made me feel like a true woman."

In that interview, she says she never lied to Phelps about her past — it just never came up, she adds.

Olympic athlete Michael Phelps headed to rehab after DUI

By now, we all know that Chandler, the woman who claims to be dating Olympic swimmer, Michael Phelps, announced publicly on Facebook that she was born intersex, meaning she had both male and female reproductive organs.

What was unclear, however, is whether she told Phelps about her personal secret before her public announcement. It seems like something her significant other would want to know before the rest of the world becomes aware, so let's just say that fact raised some red flags.

And, upon closer inspection, Chandler's Facebook page is full of other red flags. It's plastered with photos of Phelps — but no photos of the supposed couple together — and it looks like Chandler reposts every article she can find about her and Phelps. The page is full of posts that make us wonder about the relationship — is it real, or is Chandler using Phelps to garner her own 15 minutes of fame?

First, the cover photo. It's an Instagram-style collage of photos of both Chandler and Phelps. It features no photos of the two of them together and all the photos of Phelps are stock and media images.

Then, there's her "about" section. There's no personal information about Chandler like you would see on most Facebook pages. It simply reads, "Taylor Lianne Chandler's life changed on September 30 when her relationship with Michael Phelps, was made public," followed by a phone number for Chandler's publicist.

A number of posts seem off, as well, like a photo of a quote that reads, "Michael Phelps didn't see what made me different. He saw what made me whole," hashtagged #taylorliannechandler.

Another post reads, "One man saw me for the first time in my life not for being different, but for being whole. If you can't understand that, don't want to believe me or think my relationship isn't real, you can go f*** yourself! I am Taylor Lianne Chandler, I will forget the things you say about me, but you will remember me forever!"

Yet another post thanks TMZ for an article and for "creating so many new opportunities for me," which really looks like Chandler is using being linked to Phelps for her own advancement.

At the very least, Chandler seems to be vastly overestimating her own fame and pretty convinced that dating an Olympian has made her a huge celebrity. But there's also a scary vibe to her page — she seems obsessed with Phelps, who has not been seen in public with her or commented on their supposed relationship.

Jimmy Ruffin dies: 7 Things you didn't know about the Motown star

Nichols' death was announced in a statement by ABC News President James Goldston.

"He was a true visionary, winning the highest honors in the arts for his work as a director, writer, producer and comic and was one of a tiny few to win the EGOT— an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony in his lifetime," Goldston said in the statement. "No one was more passionate about his craft than Mike."

Nichols' career stretched over a half-century with countless accolades including an Oscar, four Emmys, a Grammy and nine Tony Awards, which reflected his unrivaled brilliance in the industry.

Nichols will be remembered by many for his incredible directorial skills. Some of his most memorable films include The Odd Couple, Silkwood, Working Girl, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Closer and the 1967 film he won an Oscar for best director, The Graduate.

Diem Brown dies at 32: Her final tweets are heartbreaking

"The greatest thrill is that moment when a thousand people are sitting in the dark, looking at the same scene, and they are all apprehending something that has not been spoken," Nichols previously told The New York Times. "That's the thrill of it, the miracle — that's what holds us to movies forever. It's what we wish we could do in real life. We all see something and understand it together, and nobody has to say a word."

Most recently, the German-born director had been working on a project with HBO to adapt the Tony Award-winning play Master Class.

Nichols is survived by his wife, former ABC news anchor Diane Sawyer, and his three adult children from previous marriages: Daisy, Max and Jenny, as well as four grandchildren.

Spoilers: Shameless' Emmy Rossum says Season 5 will be a crazy ride

We got the scoop on Season 5 from Emmy Rossum, who plays oldest daughter, Fiona, as she hosted the Moto X Film Experience.

What's in store for the Gallaghers?

This season, Rossum assures us, the fractured Gallagher family serves up their standard fare of so-bad-it's-good hilarity — along with some surprisingly tender moments, too.

Emmy Rossum really, really loves birthday cake

"There's definitely a lot that's really funny, but Frank falls in love — real love — for the first time, too," Rossum told us, "so we'll see that happen, which will be really interesting. And one of our main characters gets married, as well, so it'll be an interesting season."

No stranger to controversy, Shameless will tackle another (of many, we're sure) hot-button topics this season when the Gallaghers take on gentrification.

Faced with an invasion of coffee shops and hipsters happening in their South Side Chicago neighborhood of Canaryville, the rowdy family tackles the problem like, well, Gallaghers — with "AK-47s to the Zen Beanery."

A new love for Fiona?

Adopting the gritty bravado required to play Fiona has been challenging, says Rossum, but rewarding, as well.

"I love the character. I love her duality... how strong she is and how vulnerable at the same time. She's very much like a rescue animal who is always in fight or flight mode," she said, noting that the duality of the role itself — keeping the characters grounded in reality in "heightened, surreal, ridiculous situations" — is fun in its uniqueness.

Still, going so far against the status quo is definitely outside of Rossum's personal comfort zone.

"I'm always a little nervous about things that are offensive, but again, that's the nature of the show. So, it's fun to get to do something that's so opposite my personal instinct," she said.

Coming into the new season, Rossum explains that Fiona is still struggling from the rough go she had last season. There's a war brewing beneath the surface between her true personality, "which is very intense and always the first person to throw a punch" against the quieter life she knows would be good for her.

Will adding a new love interest into the mix end up in a Molotov cocktail of emotions for Fiona?

We may soon find out, as this season sees Rossum's character paired with the ever-so-handsome Dermot Mulroney (of whose work Rossum gushes she is "a huge fan").

Emmy Rossum talks sex on the first date and dirty texting

"His character is interesting," she said. "He's a recovering addict and he's a father. He's very different for Fiona. She's very interested in him at the onset and he's kind of interested in her, but knows how bad she would be for him... and he actually kind of rejects her very early on in the season."

And for Fiona, rejection is a first. She'll have to contend with that new development, along with the return of former series regular, Justin Chatwin, whose character, Jimmy — aka Steve — was presumed dead after Season 3.

Bonding, Gallagher-style

Throughout all of this, of course, she'll still be navigating the choppy waters of being the oldest sister in a large, fractured family with an alcoholic father.

To get into the headspace to capture that unique dynamic, before filming, Rossum worked with a therapist who specializes in treating the children of alcoholics and addicts. It's a move she said gave her "a lot of intellectual insight into the character."

It also gave her insight into the distinctive bond shared by the Gallagher siblings.

"You know, with children of alcoholics, there's always one person who is the parent, one person who is the clown, one person who is the troublemaker, and Fiona really has been the parent for so long," Rossum said. This season, though, Fiona continues to shift from the role of the parent to the role of the troublemaker.

Emmy Rossum's best beauty tips

But outside of the role, Rossum admits she still toes that line with her talented young crop of costars. "I'm definitely a maternal/older sister figure to them," she said. "A lot of them are only children, as well, so we definitely have bonded in an intense way and I think that obviously comes across on the show."

And even though the protective actress cops to getting involved in her cast mates' lives — "I try to keep them on the straight and narrow as much as I can" — she says the entire cast is super professional and tight.

It's apparently a closeness that spills over after hours, too.

"We do have fun when we're out in Chicago. We all go out together and Joan Cusack hosts parties at her house and we play Running Charades. It really is the best," she shared, adding, "Bill Macy is really good. He might be a cheater, because he always wins."

Would Kim Kardashian mind if her daughter followed in her naked footsteps?

Kim Kardashian accused of being a very neglectful parent in Paris

But would she feel the same if her daughter North West decided to do the same thing when she's all grown up?

According to the Daily Mail, during an appearance on Australian radio's Scoopla on 92.9 FM, the reality TV star revealed that if her daughter wanted to follow in her footsteps, she would have her full support.

"I would support anything she wants to do," Kardashian revealed.

The mom-of-one then went on to explain the reasons why she decided to get oiled up and drop her pants in the name of fashion.

"I don't do anything with the intention to promote anyone else doing it; that's not even what I'm trying to do. I do it because I'm proud of it, and it empowered me to feel good about myself after I had gained 500 pounds and looked like a huge slob for so long," she confessed.

Orphan declines Kim Kardashian's adoption offer and her reason is inspiring

It is no secret Kardashian didn't exactly look her best during her pregnancy and that she battled to find a maternity style that suited her. Earlier this week, she opened up about her difficult pregnancy during an interview with Channel Nine's Today Show, the Daily Mail reports.

"I had a really bad pregnancy, and I gained a lot of weight, and I did not feel good about myself. I felt probably the lowest I have ever felt in my life," she explained during the show. "Just yesterday, I saw a clip of me when I must have been about eight months pregnant — huge!"

"I said, 'Guys, just wait until I have this baby, as soon as I get my body back and I feel good about myself, I'm going to do some naked shoot so just be ready.'"

And she certainly kept her word!
