Michael Phelps might be in big trouble with the Olympics

The International Olympic Committee wants to have a serious chat with Michael Phelps over a leaked photo from his Louis Vuitton ad campaign.

Michael Phelps might be in trouble for Louis Vuitton ads

You know how Michael Phelps is the most decorated Olympian in history? Well, that title may be in jeopardy if the International Olympic Committee rules he violated some sanctions with his Louis Vuitton campaign.

Michael Phelps will answer to no one post-Olympics >>

Here's the problem: Olympic athletes are barred from participating in marketing campaigns for a certain period before and during the Games. This year's prohibited period was from July 18 to Aug. 15 — and the first images from Phelps' LV went viral on Aug. 13.

Uh oh.

Athletes in violation of those rules can lose competition eligibility and even previously earned medals. The IOC hasn't ruled on Phelps' case, but he might be in big trouble.

Phelps might be worried, but he's definitely not showing it. He's got his hot girlfriend, Megan Rossee, a new gig on the golf channel and his fat bank account to keep him occupied. The Mer-Man is even known to spend $25,000 on a single poker game.

Michael Phelps vs. Ryan Lochte: Who's the hotter swimmer? >>

"I love to play, it’s fun, it’s exciting. It was more something so that I could have time to myself. I could relax, I could be myself, and I could have fun," he said recently. "It’s a place where I can be me. I’ve met some of my best friends at a poker table. Some of the kids I’m always with, who I talk to every day."

He can afford it, for sure: The swimmer's coffers are full to the tune of $45 million, not to mention new deals as a result of the Summer Games.

Must be rough.

First spooky promo for American Horror Story: Asylum

American Horror Story is bringing crazy back. FX has just released the first teaser for the new season and it gives us the creeps! Prepare yourself for buckets, blood and body parts.

American Horror Story: Asylum

After cryptic photos and casting announcements, the first promo for American Horror Story has been released. The second season has a new subtitle -- Asylum -- and will take place inside of a mental hospital.

A handful of the show's original cast will return, but in different roles. Veterans Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, Lily Rabe, Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters will be joined by newbies Adam Levine, James Cromwell, Joseph Fiennes and Chloe Sevigny.

American Horror Story casts same actor, different role >>

Creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk really want to set this season apart. They changed the theme from a haunted house to an institution and moved the location from the West to the East Coast.

Adam Levine tries acting: American Horror Story >>

The promo is barely 20 seconds long and features no dialogue. Yet the chilling images say enough. The video shows a nun walking through the woods carrying buckets of -- gulp -- body parts. She nonchalantly tosses them out to pasture without a second glance. We're not quite sure if the character's supposed to be Lange or someone else.

Mark Consuelos joins the hot American Horror Story cast >>

The chiming bell in the background only heightens our fears. It makes the footage more daunting. It leaves us with some serious questions. Who was dismembered? Why were they brutalized that way? And most importantly, why are they being treated like chum?

I guess we'll have to tune in to American Horror Story: Asylum to find out.

Alec Baldwin sat down with Jerry Seinfeld for a new web series and things take a turn for the awkward when Baldwin proudly admits to throwing coffee on teenagers that bothered him while in New York City.

Alec Baldwin reveals coffee temper tantrum.

Alec Baldwin is not a saint. The 54-year-old actor is known for his angry outbursts and temper tantrums, sometimes even directed at his own family. . Yep, same Alec Baldwin.

Alec Baldwin donates $1 million to the NY Philharmonic >>

What we didn't know was just how proud Baldwin is of his inappropriate angry episodes. He asks Seinfeld, "What's the worst thing you ever did to someone but you don't regret it? They had it coming." When Seinfeld can't answer, Baldwin takes the moment to triumphantly recount a memory in which he was in New York City. Baldwin says he pulled up next to a cab full of teenagers who -- upon discovering Baldwin was looking at them -- swore at the actor.

Alec Baldwin deletes his Twitter account, again >>

Baldwin then follows the cab and after a few streets, when the cars are again at a stoplight, Alec Baldwin throws his entire iced coffee out his backseat window and drenches the teenagers.

"I went woosh and I threw it right into the window of the car. It went woosh and it was the greatest moment of my entire life. It literally hit him in the chest and the liquid went woosh, all over. I got all three of them and sprayed them with the coffee." Alec Baldwin justifies his behavior and says to Seinfeld, "They had overplayed their hand."

You can catch Alec Baldwin retell "the greatest moment of his life" below.

Rich Kids of Instagram tumblr makes us angry

"A few misspelled Instagram searches led to the uncovering of opulence, so we put it on Tumblr," the creator of the blog — who wishes to stay anonymous — told the Washington Post. Such receipts aren't uncommon to see on the blog.

And then there's the $9,000 Versace gold-plated AK-47. Yes, such a thing actually exists.

Cosmopolis review: Asymmetric prostate as metaphor?

$
0
0
With the help of Robert Pattinson, director David Cronenberg tackles financial collapse along with the meaning of human connection in this wordy, ironic and witty nightmare of a film. Though a risky choice for Pattinson, the Twilight star delivers as an icy billionaire searching for meaning in an ultra-chaotic, sensory-numbing world of numbers, sex and violence.

Cosmopolis with Robert Pattinson

Perfect for fans of Robert Pattinson

and art-house movies

Based on the David Delillo book of the same name, Cosmopolis is a strange satire of American capitalism. Director David Cronenberg calls the film a "hardcore art film" that really pushes the boundaries of storytelling in ways that delight and shock.

Eric Packer , age 28, is one of those Wall Street guys who searches for electronic patterns in stock-trading programs. He's currently betting millions against the Chinese yuan and losing, something that rarely happens to him. The volatility is eating him up, so he sets out with his bodyguard in his limousine to get a haircut from his father's barber across town.

Cosmopolis with Juliette Binoche

The dialogue in the film is extremely stylized and unnatural, almost turning into noise. Listening to the characters talk is more like reading a ticker tape of one man's obsessive thoughts, proving that words don't necessarily have meaning — at least for him.

The word "wife" becomes an enigma as he struggles to connect with Elise , the billionaire he's recently married. She is an oddly flat yet tragic creature who can smell the stench lingering on her husband from a recent sexual encounter he had with a woman named Didi in the limo.

But even stranger things happen in this limo, including a rectal exam that determines Packer's prostate is asymmetrical. His misshapen prostate becomes a metaphor for his inability to control patterns and find symmetry in his life. His need for balance is so great, he comes unhinged and sinks to committing an act of violence after getting a cream pie thrown in his face.

Robert Pattinson stars in Cosmopolis

Pattinson is wildly wonderful in this bizarre role, especially when those rare moments of vulnerability flash across his face. Paul Giamatti is fantastic as Benno, the homicidal lunatic who may have a fungus between his toes commanding him to do things.

Bottom line: If you like your movies weird and wild, you’ll love Cosmopolis. Kudos to Cronenberg for making such a delightfully daring film and also to Pattinson for sidestepping the vampire thing and showing us your talent. Enjoy!

Pussy Riot: It's just funny to hear newcasters say it

While we don’t find humor in locking up three smart women for speaking their minds, we do find it difficult to suppress a smirk when watching newscasters repeatedly say "Pussy Riot" while trying to keep a straight face. But don’t take our word for it…

Russian punk trio Pussy Riot to remain in detention

BBC covers the arrest of Russian punk band Pussy Riot

We're not sure what's more comical… the fact that this newscaster could barely even bring himself to say "Pussy Riot" or the fact that the dancing band members in the footage — are they doing the Russian Macarena? — have been imprisoned as threats to their country.

Madonna's tatas join the protest

Madonna Supports Pussy Riot, Bob Hoskins To Retire and Randy Travis Arrested

Entertainment news update on Madonna's support of Pussy Riot, Bob Hoskins' retirement announcement, and Randy Travis' arrest.

Kudos to this fearless reporter! He manages to mention Pussy Riot and Madonna stripping in support of the band in the same breath, without so much as a discreet chuckle. Poor Bob Hoskins… we're not sure how he managed to get sandwiched between Madge, vadge, and Randy Travis found naked and drunk.

Coverage of the arrest of Russian punk band Pussy Riot

Is it just me, or does "Pussy Riot" sound even more hilarious when overarticulated in a British accent? This clip is made even funnier by the fact that the voice in the video sounds remarkably like the navigator from my car's GPS system.

Coverage of the Russian punk band Pussy Riot's arrest.

After saying "Pussy Riot" once, the first reporter in this clip is all too eager to hand the reins over to his offscreen colleague. Wait, say whaaaa?

Rage Against Paul Ryan: No, you're the machine!

Rage Against the Machine likely won't have Paul Ryan as a fan much longer. Ripping the vice presidential pick of Mitt Romney to shreds, Tom Morello writes a brutal editorial piece for Rolling Stone.

Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine rips Paul Ryan

Rage Against the Machine believes Paul Ryan is the "embodiment of the machine that our music has been raging against for two decades." In reaction to news that the 42-year-old has been named Mitt Romney's running mate, guitarist Tom Morello has more than a few words to say.

Paul Ryan previously cited Rage Against the Machine as his favorite band, a perplexing choice to Morello.

Tom Morello writes for Rolling Stone

"Ryan claims that he likes Rage's sound, but not the lyrics," the Rage bandmate wrote in an editorial piece for Rolling Stone. "Well, I don't care for Paul Ryan's sound or his lyrics. He can like whatever bands he wants, but his guiding vision of shifting revenue more radically to the one percent is antithetical to the message of Rage."

Paul Ryan's Ayn Rand problem >>

Morello continued, "I wonder what Ryan's favorite Rage song is? Is it the one where we condemn the genocide of Native Americans? The one lambasting American imperialism? Our cover of "F--- the Police"? Or is it the one where we call on the people to seize the means of production? So many excellent choices to jam out to at Young Republican meetings!

"I clearly see that Ryan has a whole lotta 'rage' in him: a rage against women, a rage against immigrants, a rage against workers, a rage against gays, a rage against the poor, a rage against the environment," the band's guitarist went on. "Basically the only thing he's not raging against is the privileged elite he's groveling in front of for campaign contributions."

Paul Ryan thinks Jon Stewart is the funniest man in America >>

Attempting to look on the bright side, Tom Morello concluded, "My hope is that maybe Paul Ryan is a mole. Maybe Rage did plant some sensible ideas in this extreme fringe right-wing nut job... That's one possibility. But I'm not betting on it."

Twitter reaction to Rage vs. Paul Ryan

"Tom Morello from Rage against the Machine is now my favorite person," wrote one of the many Twitter users getting a kick out the irony of the politician's taste. "What he said about Paul Ryan=priceless."

Comedian Eli Braden, however, had a different take on Tom Morello's rant. He tweeted Friday, "Tom Morello scolded Paul Ryan for loving Rage Against the Machine. He then climbed back into his Range Rover and drove back to his mansion."

Is no one safe to love and make music freely anymore? Yikes!

Was Rage Against the Machine right to publicly rip Paul Ryan?

Pussy Riot verdict: Sounds silly, but Putin doesn't joke around

While the headline "Pussy Riot charged with hooliganism" seems ripped right out of Mad Magazine, the jailing of three smart young women — and the alleged persecution of countless other "dissidents" — is no laughing matter.

Pussy Riot supporters at a protest in Canada

It's been nearly four months since Vladimir Putin returned to power in Russia, and his short tenure thus far has been marred by controversy. The most recent brouhaha, the arrest of members of the punk rock band Pussy Riot, has put the civil rights of Russian women on the forefront of the world's political landscape.

In 2008, Putin stepped down from the presidency due to a constitutional law forbidding two consecutive terms in office. He handpicked a successor, Dmitry Medvedev, who filled in — Putin retained political influence with a four-year term as prime minister. The same constitution that kept Putin out of office for back-to-back terms lacked any rules about coming back later, and Putin found the loophole through which he would reestablish himself as Russia's most powerful politico.

With Putin's September 2011 announcement that he would once again run for president, many whispered of civil unrest — afraid of the return of a man whose reign was dogged by rumors of corruption. Among the outspoken opponents were a group of liberal feminists who opted to form the band Pussy Riot to protest Putin's return. The band was formed, the founding members told Vice.com, based on the principles of "gender and LGBT rights, problems of masculine conformity, absence of a daring political message on the musical and art scenes, and the domination of males in all areas of public discourse."

Russian official tweets crude message to Madonna >>

Since banding together, Pussy Riot has rocked Russian conservatives with a string of highly provocative guerilla performances... and their illegal antics haven't gone unnoticed. All eight original bandmates have found themselves cuffed and carted away for protests over the past year. It was their Feb. 21 anti-Putin performance at Moscow's Christ the Saviour Cathedral, however, that landed the band in serious hot water with Russian authorities. Three Pussy Riot members — Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, 22, Maria Alekhina, 24, and Yekaterina Samutsevich, 30 — were held in jail for five months before learning their fate with today's verdict.

So, what were the women charged with? Hooliganism, to be exact — which presiding Judge Marina Syrova defined as "a grave violation of public order." Syrova accused the women of being disrespectful and justified the harsh two-year sentence by saying that "considering the nature and degree of the danger posed by what was done, the defendants' correction is possible only through an actual punishment." To emphasize this purported degree of danger, she cited the women's "devilish dances" as evidence of their hatred for religion and their feminist views as violations of church doctrine.

Although Judge Syrova, who relied heavily on testimony from men in the church, handed down the ruling, many people proffer that Putin is actually to blame. Ilya Yashin, a Putin critic who served jail time this summer over a protest, attests, "The last three months have seen an increased role for the security services and the persecution of Kremlin critics. Everything Putin does is aimed at tightening his grip on power."

In addition to the loophole allowing Putin to resume his role as head of the Kremlin, Russia's constitution includes amendments altering the presidential term from four to six years. If Yashin is right about Putin's power trip, Pussy Riot could eventually be released from jail only to be persecuted further, despite Putin's public statement suggesting the band should receive leniency. Although today's headlines of hooliganism — and an opposition activist's off-color remark about being old enough to be the girls' dad, in which case he would just give them a good spanking — sound like the punchline of a bad joke, Pussy Riot's verdict packs a tragic wallop.

Hank Williams Jr. calls Obama a "Muslim America hater"

Tell us how you really feel: Hank Williams Jr. called out President Obama during a Friday night concert in Iowa.

Hank Williams Jr blasts President Obama

Hank Williams Jr. is at it again. The country singer used his Friday night performance at the Iowa State Fair to blast President Barack Obama.

"We've got a Muslim president who hates farming, hates the military, hates the U.S. and we hate him!" Williams Jr. told the crowd, according to the Des Moines Register. The response was pretty positive, the paper said.

We can't say the country singer's comments are that surprising, given his past statements. The son of country legend Hank Williams drew fire last October for some comments he made on FOX & Friends comparing President Obama to Hitler.

Williams Jr. told the hosts that House Majority Leader John Boehner made "one of the biggest political mistakes ever" for playing golf with Obama last year.

"It's like Hitler playing golf with [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu," he added. Pretty harsh, right? The hosts asked him for clarification.

"You used the name of one of the most hated people in all the world to describe, I think, the president," host Gretchen Carlson said.

"That's true," Williams replied. "But I'm telling you like it is."

Those comments got his song, "All My Rowdy Friends," pulled from ABC's Monday Night Football. He later apologized for his words.

"I have always been very passionate about politics and sports and this time it got the best or worst of me," he wrote on his website after the public outcry.

"The thought of the leaders of both parties jukin [sic] and high fiven [sic] on a golf course, while so many families are struggling to get by simply made me boil over and make a dumb statement," he added.

Red Hot Book of the Week: The Second Empress by Michelle Moran

$

0
Michelle Moran is beloved by readers of historical fiction for her lively and well-researched novels. In The Second Empress, her fifth novel, she returns to France to detail Napoleon's second marriage and the ultimate demise of his empire.

The Second Empress

Other than taking over Europe, Napoleon Bonaparte is perhaps best known for his flashy, extravagant wife, Josephine. Although Napoleon is said to have loved Josephine dearly, she was never able to give him a child; he may have loved her children from a previous marriage, but as Emperor of France he required an heir of his own body. In order to make this happen, Napoleon dissolved his marriage to Josephine in early 1810 to marry Marie-Louise of Austria, a young girl from a very fertile family.

Michelle Moran’s latest novel, The Second Empress, takes the reader inside the circumstances surrounding Napoleon’s second marriage in the last days of his empire. To produce a fuller understanding of the thoughts and feelings floating around Napoleon’s court, Moran provides the reader with three separate points of view: Marie-Louise, the emperor’s sister, Pauline, and Pauline’s Haitian servant, Paul.

Marie-Louise’s story is the heart of The Second Empress, as she is the title character, known as the second empress because Josephine was allowed to retain her title of empress when she divorced Napoleon. Marie-Louise wants nothing to do with Napoleon after the way his wars have devastated her beloved Austria, but the power he holds ensures that if she refuses his offer of marriage, her father is likely to lose his throne; she loves her father even more than she hates Napoleon, so the marriage takes place.

Marie-Louise may be the character that readers will love, but it is Pauline they will love to hate. She is a truly outrageous human being, entirely in love with her own sense of self-importance. Her occasionally over-the-top actions are mitigated and balanced by her eminently reasonable servant Paul, a man whose opinion is valued by nearly everyone he comes in contact with. Paul is on a journey of his own; he followed Pauline to France out of love but is beginning to realize that in France their relationship will never be what he would hope for.

In The Second Empress, Moran describes the end of Napoleon's empire in vivid, realistic terms. She wastes no time attempting to make the reader sympathetic for the megalomaniac Napoleon, instead providing compelling -- if not always entirely likable -- characters who must make difficult choices: What is the best way to be loyal to one's family? When does self-respect and self-worth require giving up the person you love?

Maksim Chmerkovskiy wants to sue Hope Solo

Think Maksim Chmerkovskiy slapped Hope Solo? She's not backing down, but sources say he's planning a legal attack to get her to retract her statement.

Maksim to sue Hope Solo?

Hope Solo shocked Dancing with the Stars fans last week when she claimed former partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy manhandled and slapped her during their rehearsals for the hit ABC show.

"He manhandled me in rehearsals from the start, pushing me, whacking my stomach, bending my arms roughly," Solo confesses in her upcoming memoir Solo: A Memoir of Hope. "I thought that was just how it went — how dancers worked with each other. But it kept getting worse. ... One day, Maks was trying to put me in a certain position and hit my stomach so hard with his open palm that I had a red handprint there for the rest of the day."

Hope Solo's awkward drug test warning >>

She also writes that the Ukrainian "bad boy" dancer slapped her during a Halloween rehearsal. "He wanted my head in a specific position. To achieve that, he slapped me across the face. Hard," she added.

Chmerkovskiy hasn't responded to the claims directly, but he did write a couple of cryptic tweets.

"Always hated hypocrites and liars ... but when someone is both AND an opportunist, I just feel bad for them. Can't win at someone's expense ..." he tweeted on Friday, adding "life’s best lessons are the ones that you smile through."

However, he might be planning a more aggressive attack behind the scenes. A source told The Huffington Post's Rob Shuter that Chmerkovskiy and ABC are considering their legal options and might sue the champion soccer player.

Olympian Hope Solo is a prison baby >>

"Maks is one of the nicest guys in the world. This is 100 percent not true," the source said. "At the moment, Maks and ABC are not making any public statements, as they are considering legal options. Not only did Hope not tell the truth in the book, she also signed a contract with the producers of DWTS and could be in breach of contract."

Solo, meanwhile, is sticking by her claims.

"Hope is standing behind what she wrote and has no intention of issuing an apology. No one has tried to muzzle her yet — today she did a bunch of interviews, including ESPN," another source told the HuffPo.

Looks like this is going to get very, very interesting.

Jenelle Evans nude pics leaked

We love to make comments on Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans' constant legal troubles and bad decision-making — it's pretty easy, given all the trouble she's been in recently. However, seems like she doesn't have one sincere person in her life — and that includes her own family.

It seems that Evans' sister, Ashleigh, sold a story about her to a tabloid.

"I usually don't talk or air out my personal family issues online but my sister has taken this too far," Evans tweeted on Aug. 16. "She sold a story about me yesterday."

No word on what it's about, but we'll assume it's not good.

"MY OWN BLOOD FAMILY I can't even trust!" she added. "This is so sad, even sadder my mother approves of my sister selling me out and doesnt care..."

If that wasn't bad enough, her "friend" apparently tweeted more nude photos of her from her breast augmentation procedure earlier this year.

"Leave me the f**k alone, PLEASE. I hope u die. I'm so upset," she wrote when she found out about the pictures.

It hasn't been a good year for the mom of Jace: She got engaged to boyfriend Gary Head earlier this year, but broke it off when he assaulted her.

"Gary beat the s*** out of Jenelle," her friend told RadarOnline after the late June incident. "He strangled her with a bed sheet." Evans later took to Twitter to talk about the incident.

"I left [Head] becuz he was caught cheating. He did something to me that was physical and tramatizing. I'm just so grated [sic] jace wasn't there," she added.

We feel for her: With friends and family like this, who needs enemies?

For the second time in a row, The Expendables has dominated the box office. Over the weekend, the sequel earned $28.7 million, knocking The Bourne Legacy off its rocker.

Before the final numbers were tallied, there was already talk of making another movie. Not just a sequel, but a spin-off -- with women. According to Variety, the production company 1984 Private Defense Contractors already have a film in development.

While talking to E!, The Expendables 2 director Simon West dropped a few names as possible candidates. "I like the idea of the Expenda-Belles where it's seven or eight women mercenaries," said West. Phyllis Diller dead at 95

More sad news from Hollywood: Legendary comedian Phyllis Diller passed away Monday, TMZ confirmed. She was 95.

Diller was reportedly ill for several months before her death, according to the website. She had a pacemaker inserted after a 1999 heart attack, though she managed to thrive despite the setback.

More on celebrity deaths >>

The comedian's career spanned six decades with appearances on shows like Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In, The Bold and The Beautiful and her own show, The Phyllis Diller Show. More recently, she appeared in Disney productions like A Bug's Life and The Aristocats. She also lent her recognizable voice to shows like Family Guy.

Diller might have worked on Family Guy, but she longed for the quality of the golden age of television.

"They used to have all these wonderful variety shows and I was an eternal guest on the shows. Like the Bob Hope specials and Red Skelton, Carol Burnett. There were all those great variety shows and I even had one of my own. With dancing girls and boys and the band and the carry on. I loved all that," she told DVDizzy.com, though it seems like she enjoyed Dancing with the Stars.

"The closest we've got to it now is that dancing show, where it's live and it's got a lot of music and bands and that sort of things. It's kind of old showbiz."

Hollywood mourns as details surface in Tony Scott's death >>

As for her long life? Diller credited her longevity to her commitment to work.

"A lot of people think it's probably the healthful life I've led. I always work. I think work is very healthful. A lot of those old-fashioned rules like 'Get plenty of sleep' and 'eight glasses of water,' doesn't that sound dumb?"

The world is lot less funny today. We'll miss you, Phyllis.

Condoleezza Rice among first women admitted to Augusta

The bastion of elitism that is Augusta National Golf Club announced Monday morning, by way of its chairman, that it was finally admitting two women into the boy's club -- after 80 years. One of those women is none other than former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Condi Augusta

More than 90 years after U.S. women "earned" the right to vote, and nearly four decades after Roe v. Wade, Augusta National is finally giving women the "right" to golf alongside its male members.

Donald Trump's new golf course literally walls off the "little people" >>

As senior White House correspondent Jake Tapper noted on Twitter: "Congratulations to Augusta National Golf Club for joining the 20th century! -- Love, people in the 21st Century."

At least one of the two women who are making history today is a familiar name -- former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

The other woman is Darla Moore, the vice president of the investment firm Rainwater Inc. and chair of a nonprofit, South Carolina-based think tank -- the Palmetto Institute, according to CNN.

"These accomplished women share our passion for the game of golf and both are well known and respected by our membership," Chairman Billy Payne said in a statement Monday.

Maggie Gyllenhaal's fight for the right to vibrate >>

These women also seemingly share a very pro-business stance and, in all likelihood, the same conservative political values and ideologies.

So let's say we can't expect to see Hillary Clinton or Nancy Pelosi sharing the green on the Georgia golf course alongside Condi and Darla anytime soon.

When politics meets the red carpet >>

That said, we can't expect too much from Augusta. This is the same course that didn't allow African Americans as members until 1990!

In echoing CBS Sports: "Way to go, Augusta National. I guess."

"If this is where I'm supposed to congratulate Augusta National on changing its sexist policy and admitting a woman -- two whole women! -- then I'm screwing up right from the start," columnist Gregg Doyel writes, continuing later on in the piece, "And this is where I'm supposed to pat Augusta National on the back?

"Not a chance. For decades Augusta National was a racist, sexist club inhabited by racist, sexist pigs. Many of those pigs still roam the grounds. Congratulations, Augusta National. You finally got here. But you have a long way still to go."

Chris Brown took to his Twitter account on Sunday night and left clues for fans to interpret how he really feels about Rihanna's Oprah interview.

The Buzz - Rihanna: Chris Brown 'Was the Love of my Life'

In a interview with Oprah, Rihanna admits to still loving Chris Brown.

Rihanna's Oprah interview aired Sunday night and definitely lived up to its hype. As Rihanna sat with Oprah in Barbados she was clearly emotional and vulnerable as she laughed and cried over the course of the interview. About the same time as Rihanna's Oprah interview aired, numerous media outlets reported Rihanna's infamous ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown, took to Twitter to voice his feelings about the interview.

Chris Brown wants Rihanna to STFU >>

Both HollywoodLife and PerezHilton were able to capture the pictures Chris Brown tweeted Sunday night. However, as of this afternoon those pictures seem to be missing -- possibly deleted by Brown himself. The pictures showed Chris Brown in a somber and depressed mood. Media outlets report the pictures had no explicit caption about Rihanna but note the timing of Brown's tweeted photos was odd.

We think it's unusual those pictures were seemingly deleted with no explanation from Brown.

Rihanna is still being nice about Chris Brown >>

Oprah and Rihanna discussed Chris Brown and Rihanna's feelings for much of the hour-long interview. Rihanna explained she was "humiliated" but worried Brown wouldn't get the psychological help he needed. "I felt protective," she said. "I felt like the only person they have right now is him. It was a weird, confusing space to be in because to be as angry -- as angry and as hurt and betrayed -- I just felt like he made that mistake and needed help, and who's gonna help him?"

Rihanna admitted to Oprah she is single and Chris Brown is in a relationship.

Correction: We mistakenly reported the pictures mentioned from Chris Brown's Twitter feed were deleted from his account. In actuality these pictures were posted two days prior to Rihanna's Oprah interview and remain available on Brown's Twitter feed as of this update.

Kristin Harmel's latest novel, The Sweetness of Forgetting, is the story of a woman on an emotional journey to uncover a family secret who discovers much more than the truth she thought she was after. A heartwarming, thought-provoking and insightful book, it's our pick for the Red Hot Book of the Week.

The Sweetness of Forgetting

Kristin Harmel's novels are written with a lot of heart and soul. She has a way of bringing the reader into her stories in such a powerful way that they can often forget they're reading at all. Whether you're reading her YA novels or her adult books, you are hooked from page one, rooting for the characters, totally invested in their worlds long after the book has been finished. And Harmel's latest, The Sweetness of Forgetting, is no exception. In fact, it may just be her best book yet.

About The Sweetness of Forgetting

Luck hasn't been on Hope McKenna-Smith's side. She has a string of past hurts that no one would want to endure. Her husband left her for a 22-year-old, her mother passed away, and she's nearly out of money.

She's divorced, raising a difficult tween, working in her family's bakery and questioning everything about her life. She's playing the "What Ifs?" What if she'd finished law school? What if she'd never caught her husband cheating on her? What if she hadn't quit her job to raise her daughter?

It's ultimately Mamie, Hope's ailing French-born grandmother with Alzheimer's, who gives Hope the fresh perspective she desperately needs. Mamie knows she's soon to lose all of her memories and in a moment of clarity reveals she's been hiding secrets from Hope. Because her memory is fading, Hope is only able to get snippets of her grandmother's tragic past. With nothing more than a string of names, she embarks on a journey to Paris to piece the puzzle together and solve a 70-year-old mystery.

Hope discovers that maybe things happen for a reason, that working in her family's bakery has been more important than she could've ever imagined because the things she's been baking are tied into the family secrets she uncovers.

The Sweetness of Forgetting is a book you'll cherish as you root for Hope, who after her string of hardships, deserves a little "hope" of her own.

Four former cast members of the mobster crime drama have teamed up to help out a friend. The movie was co-written by the man who played Bobby on The Sopranos.

James Gandolfini and Michael Imperioli of The Sopranos

It's hard to believe it's been five years since the last episode of The Sopranos aired, and many fans have been hoping for a reunion project since then.

Well, they've gotten their wish, but maybe not quite in the way they had imagined. A new Nickelodeon movie will feature four Sopranos actors. Yes, that Nickelodeon. And in fact, the movie is a made-for-TV kids movie.

"The new film, Nicky Deuce, stars Michael Imperioli and Steve Schirripa. They played gang members Christopher and Bobby [on The Sopranos]," reports the Associated Press. "Also starring are Tony Sirico and Vincent Curatola, who played fellow mobster Paulie and rival boss Johnny 'Sack.'"

The movie also stars Rita Moreno, Cristine Prosperi and others.

The four Sopranos actors have not worked together in five years.

"Nicky Deuce is based on the children's book of the same title authored by Schirripa and Charles Fleming," said the Associated Press.

The other former actors of The Sopranos have been pretty busy. James Gandolfini, who played Tony Soprano, the patriarch of the crime show, has worked on 11 projects since the show ended in 2007, and he has five more projects in the works.

Edie Falco, the actress who played Carmela Soprano on the show, starred in a season of 30 Rock as Alec Baldwin’s love interest. She then starred in her own show, Nurse Jackie, from 2009 to 2012.

Lorraine Bracco, better known Tony Soprano’s psychologist, has been a cast member on Rizzoli & Isles since 2010.

The title character in Nicky Deuce is no stranger to the genre. Noah Munck, 16, has starred in Phineas and Ferb and Tom Sawyer & Huckleberry Finn and has played Gibby Gibson on iCarly since 2007.

Nickelodeon announced today the movie will premiere in 2013 on the network; it is currently in production in Montreal.
